PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Quelles sont les conditions d’accès ?

Access to the Gavrinis cairn is only possible as part of guided tours, on specific dates and time slots.

A numerus clausus applies in order to preserve the monument and ensure the comfort of visit, its gauge is set at 25 people maximum per slot, for the individual public. Most of the visit is done outdoors, the passage inside the monument is organized by "tribe" (people with whom each visitor arrived on site).

Tickets always include the boat crossing and the guided tour of the cairn.

Slots can be added or removed depending on crowds or exceptional weather conditions.

  • in our respective shops of the cairn of Gavrinis in Larmor-Baden and the cairn of Petit Mont in Arzon.
  • Tickets cannot be purchased on board the boat or from the guides.
Quels sont les types de prestation ?

The cairn of Gavrinis is accessible through different formulas:

• The classic tour = boat crossing from Larmor-Baden + guided tour of the Gavrinis cairn. Total duration: 2h00

• The visit of the tour of Er Lannic = crossing the boat from Larmor-Baden + guided tour of the cairn of Gavrinis + bypass of the islet of Er Lannic. Total duration: 2h30

• The visit from Vannes = crossing by boat from the ferry terminal of Vannes + guided tour of the cairn of Gavrinis. Total duration: 4h00.

This tour does not include lunch, but packed lunches or orders may be pris.es.

• The direct visit = guided tour of the cairn of Gavrinis. Total duration: 1h30. You have your own boat.
This tour does not include the boat crossing. It is essential to buy your ticket, no ticket is sold on the island of Gavrinis.

Où embarquer ?

The reception team will inform you of the place of embarkation in Larmor-Baden or Vannes during the control of your tickets.

Le respect du créneau horaire est-il obligatoire ?

Yes, the boat never leaves late. Visitors with a ticket are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the departure of the boat at the reception of Larmor-Baden, and at least 1 hour during periods of high affluence. In case of no-show at the departure time, we remind you that the tickets are neither exchangeable nor refundable.

Puis-je me présenter à un autre créneau horaire ?

In order to preserve the monument, it is requested to leave personal belongings in a dedicated area when you meet your guide on the island of Gavrinis.

Y a-t-il des sanitaires sur le site ?

The site does not have sanitary facilities. Public toilets are available on the port of Larmor-Baden.

Peut-on pique-niquer sur le site ?

It is forbidden to drink and eat on the site.

Que comprend mon billet ?

The ticket is personal and non-transferable. It is time-stamped and valid only for the chosen service, on the date and time chosen. It allows access to the cairn of Gavrinis, including the boat crossing and the guided tour. You also benefit from access to a digital journey on the Baludik app.

Beyond the selected time slot, the ticket holder can no longer board the boat. Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

Comment mon billet est-il contrôlé ?

You must keep your ticket for the duration of your visit.

 You bought your ticket in our shops in the cairn of Gavrinis in Larmor-Baden or the cairn of Petit Mont in Arzon :
You can present your ticket when boarding the boat, hold of Pen Lannic of Larmor-Baden. We ask you to be present on the hold at least 10 minutes before the departure of the boat.

 You bought your ticket online:
You must have the validity of your ticket checked at the shop in Larmor-Baden, at least 30 minutes before the departure of the boat out of season and 60 minutes in July/August. The e-ticket has a unique barcode containing the information relating to the service purchased.

The first person to present the ticket is presumed to be the legitimate bearer.
For e-tickets, a nominative check can also be carried out. In case of non-presentation of a valid identity document, with photograph, access to the service is refused.

Comment bénéficier d’un tarif réduit ?

Reduced rates apply under the following conditions:

 Megalith PassYou
get a discount if you have visited one of the following megalithic sites: the Cairn de Petit Mont, the Locmariaquer Megalith Site, the Carnac Prehistory Museum or the Carnac Alignments. The Pass is then given to you when you purchase your ticket.
The discount applies from the second site visited, it is valid for two people.
The Pass is valid all year round, depending on the opening period of the partner sites.
At the Cairn de Gavrinis, the Megalith Pass allows a discount only on classic visits.

 Culture Trails PassThe Culture
Trails Pass is given to you when you visit one of the following departmental properties, in addition to the Gavrinis cairn: the Petit Mont cairn, the Suscinio and Kerguéhennec estates.
It allows you to benefit from the reduced rate, and is valid for two people, from the second site visited.
It is valid all year round, depending on the opening period of the departmental properties.
At the Cairn de Gavrinis, the Culture Trails Pass allows a discount only on classic visits.

 Cezam card, CNAS card, person accompanying a person with a disabilityYou
benefit from the reduced rate, for one person, on presentation of proof.
The discount for Cézam and CNAS cards is applicable only on the classic tour.

 Child, family and student packageDiscount
rates are offered in the following age groups: 4/9 years (under 10 years), 10/17 years (under 18 years), and student.

The student rate applies to the presentation of a student card valid for the current year, and its holder must be under 26 years of age.

The family rate allows you to benefit from a discount for two adults and two children aged between 10 and 17 years (under 18 years).

 Direct visitYou
have your own boat.
You benefit from a reduced rate, it includes the guided tour of the site without the boat crossing.
You must book and collect your tickets from our shops in the Gavrinis cairn in Larmor-Baden or at the Petit Mont cairn in Arzon. Guides are not allowed to transact on the island. You will be denied access if you do not have your access ticket.
Upon arrival, you must leave the priority of access to the hold to the passenger boat, for the duration of your visit.

 Twin ticketYou
benefit from a reduced rate to visit the cairns of Gavrinis and Petit Mont.
Be careful, you must go by your own means to the port of Larmor-Baden and the cairn of Petit Mont.

 European Heritage DaysAccess
to the site is free during the European Heritage Days. However, the boat crossing from Larmor-Baden is subject to a fee.

 Discount "gîtes de France"
A 10% discount is offered to "gîtes de France" customers, on presentation of proof.

The group rate is from 20 people and only on a guided tour.

Comment réserver une visite en groupe ?

The reservation is made via a form available in our "Group visits" section.
You will then be put in touch with the mediation officer in order to build together your visit project.

Reservation is required for any group visit, from 20 people.

Le groupe peut-il arriver après le créneau prévu ?

The boat never leaves late. The group is asked to be present at least half an hour before the departure time, at the port of Larmor-Baden. The tour is cancelled if the group is not present 10 minutes before the departure time.

The reception team may refuse access to the site if the group is late or if they show up without having confirmed their visit.

Quels sont les délais pour effectuer une réservation de groupe ?

The reservation must be made at the earliest and confirmed at least 15 days before the date of arrival on site.

BOOKING  CALENDAR:
If your group wishes to visit the website  between March and April, please make your booking request from November of the previous year.

If your group wishes to visit the website  between April and June, please make your booking request from February.

If your group wishes to visit the site  in July and August, please make your reservation request at least two months in advance.

Any reservation not cancelled before 7 days will be charged.

A payment of 30% deposit is required upon confirmation of visit, the rest is due on the same day of the visit.

The reservation is effective upon return of the signed contract, 15 days minimum before the date of visit, by email or mail.

PUBLIC WITH DISABILITIES

Puis-je visiter le cairn de Gavrinis en fauteuil roulant ?

Access to the Gavrinis cairn is by boat from Larmor-Baden. A wheelchair can be boarded, if and only if it can bend during the crossing. The boat does not have wheelchair accessible space.

Access to the site can be difficult:
• Boarding holds can be slippery depending on tides and weather conditions. They are paved, that of Larmor-Baden has a significant dip.
• Access to the island is via a steep dirt slope.

Finally, it is impossible to enter the cairn of Gavrinis in an armchair.

Comment m’organiser ma venue, selon mon type de handicap ?
